New director for Bern University of the Arts

The Bern University of Applied Sciences University Board has appointed Dr. Thomas Beck as the new director of Bern University of the Arts. Mr Beck is currently head of Music, Dance and Theatre at Swiss Television and also deputy head of its Culture section.
Dr. Beck will take up his post at Bern University of Applied Sciences on 1 December 2009. Meanwhile the position will be occupied on an interim basis by Roman Brotbeck, head of the Music division.
