On the 7 October 2011 the Swiss national football team will play a European Championship qualifying match in Wales. To mark the occasion Glamorgan University of Wales has invited students of the Bern University of Applied Sciences (BUAS) to compete in a friendly against two university football teams.

 

The BUAS team consists of nine students of the Swiss Federal Institute of Sport Magglingen SFISM, two students of the Business Division, and one student of the Department for Architecture, Wood and Civil Engineering. The visit to Wales will provide the students with an opportunity to get to know the two Welsh Sports Academies and their students – and of course will also give them the chance to watch the international match between Wales and Switzerland live. At the same time the project also promotes international exchange between the universities involved and offers BUAS an opportunity to further extend its international network.

 

The trip is organized and supported by the International Relations Office and the Office for University Sports at BUAS.
