Engineering and Information Technology

Portrait

The Department of Engineering and Information Technology (EIT) stands for education and research with its finger on the pulse of industrial practice. On the Berne, Biel/Bienne and Burgdorf sites, we undertake co-ordinated services in the areas of education and continuing education, applied research and development, and technological knowledge transfer.

Our work has a three-fold focus:

  1. High quality, in order to be able to provide the economy with qualified engineers (M/F) and competitive services.
  2. An international outlook, to open up to students and staff the best opportunities in the globalised world of education and business.
  3. Interdisciplinary thinking and action, to be able to match the high expectations of increasingly heterogeneous teams in industry and science.
