Swiss Federal Institute of Sports Magglingen SFISM

The Swiss Federal Institute of Sports Magglingen SFISM, under the aegis of the Federal Department of Sports [BASPO], is one of the leading training institutions in Swiss sport. The courses leading to the Bachelor of Science in Sports at the Institute is taken over three years, of which a major portion is dedicated to sports practice. Students are prepared for positions as sports teachers in schools, as well as for extracurricular activities within sport and exercise promotion programmes.

Continuing education

Professionals can benefit from a broad range of continuing education options in Sport. Various MAS, DAS and CAS study programmes as well as numerous specialist courses and seminars provide extensive opportunities for knowledge consolidation, specialisation and further development.

Furthermore, the SFISM offers students of kinesiology and/or sport science at the universities and the ETH Zurich specific training modules, so-called network modules, each summer.
