Literary Writing
Course summary
The bilingual course of study enables German and French-speaking students to deal intensively and in a focused manner with literary production and communication in their own language and to study with writers using the other language.
The course focuses on text production. Production also includes text communication comprising media production (books, staging, performance), distribution (market, network) and reception (encounter with critics and the public). In addition, reading, theoretical reflection on language, literature and their links with other art forms are important elements of this course.
The course permits in-depth study of various specific fields such as narrative or screen writing, extensive techniques such as experimental or digital writing, translation and the communication of literature (literary criticism).
After graduation, students are qualified for authorship, literary communication, book production activities and the organisation of cultural projects.
