Food Science & Management

Cours summary

Foodstuffs are fascinating products. They are not only a source of nutrition, but also contribute to our own pleasure and health. Food engineers are involved in manufacture, processing and commerce, in fact at every stage in the value creation chain. They play an important role, not only in quality assurance for foods and in research and development of new food substances, but also in the area of management and in running companies.

The Food Technology course imparts a wide range of competences that are needed for a career in the food industry or trade, from consumer psychology to product development, production and marketing.

It links scientific and technological disciplines to business administration and marketing. Choice of a special emphasis allows students to focus on their individual interests. The broadly-based and interdisciplinary nature of their studies forms an excellent basis for a successful career.
