Social Work

Course summary

The profession of social worker is as varied as it is challenging: advice for the unemployed, families, refugees; safeguarding livelihood; prevention; social work in business; work with children and young people; housing estate management and school social work - those are just some of the varied  areas of work.

The course plan offers students various ways of flexibly configuring their studies in terms of time and their particular interests. The course is therefore constructed on a modular (building-block) basis. It deals with theories, methods and techniques of social work, together with underlying disciplines: pedagogy and education, economics, philosophy and ethics, psychology, law, sociology and social policy.

The course, with its scientific foundation and generalist orientation, is tailored to match the criteria and needs of all  areas of the profession: social work, social teaching, socio-cultural animation etc.
