Process Technology

The Process Technology course is a module of the CAS Wood-Based Panels programme. It provides you with a theory- and practice-based understanding of the manufacturing processes in the particleboard, MDF/HDF and OSB industry.

The course:

  • is designed specifically for engineers and managers from wood-based panel producing companies and associated industries;
  • deepens your knowledge of the manufacturing technologies of particle- and fiber-based panel products;
  • is taught by renowned experts from science and practice;
  • provides room for discussing your concrete technological challenges;

Content + Structure

Do you want to expand your knowledge about wood-based panel manufacturing technologies, or are you new to this sector? This concise training program, offered since more than 15 years, provides expert knowledge, in-depth understanding of the relevant processes, and opportunities for networking with experts. Respecting the current situation, the core of the program is organized as an interactive online week with seminars, workshops, bilateral expert meetings and much room for interactions with the course participants. The online week is supplemented by e-learning material, and by an on-site innovation tour at the Ligna 2021 in Hannover.

The module "Process Technology" is made up of three blocks. The core is the one-week online course from September 13 to 17, 2021, before which we will provide e-learning material (starting August 16) to standardize the entry level of the course participants. The module concludes with the optional Innovation Tour on September 29 at Ligna 2021.

All activites take place online, except the Innovation Tour at Ligna 2021.
