Ausgangslage

The national STRAIN project (2017-2021) is one of the largest intervention studies in the Swiss healthcare system with over 160 participating organisations. The resulting follow-up project STRAIN 2.0 now offers all interested organisations the opportunity to annually record workplace stressors as well as resulting long-term consequences in all health professions. The aim of this project is to create a nationwide and up-to-date database on the extent of stressors and their effects on possible long-term consequences such as burnout symptoms, sleep quality or the state of health of all health professionals. Another aim of STRAIN 2.0 is to provide a cross-organisational and evidence-based selection of possible measures to reduce workload and optimise the framework conditions at work. In this way, we would like to make an important contribution to optimal framework conditions and to increasing the attractiveness of the health professions in the Swiss healthcare system.

Vorgehen

In order to achieve these goals, a longitudinal study will be conducted over several years, and participating organisations can participate annually or once. Data will be collected through self-assessment by the staff of the participating organisations using validated questionnaires (COPSOQ, EWCS, ERI, EQ-5D,Next, De Jonge) from the STRAIN study. The organisations can choose from three different questionnaires (short, medium, long) and three different survey methods (SurveyMonkey, Umfrage Online, paper version).
