Teaching

  • Teaching is one of my greatest passions. I enjoy the teaching because of the opportunity to connect with people and share my knowledge. I learn by teaching and my dynamic personality makes it enjoyable for me. My first teaching experience was during my Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering at Sharif University of Technology (1999-2003). Due to this privilege (the high ranked university), I could work as a part-time teacher in a private school at the same time where I taught Chemistry and Physics. That position provided me a wonderful opportunity in developing my teaching skills, as well as improving my overall goals in life. I found myself thinking of the high expectations I had when talking about academic standards, and it sparked my strong interest in teaching so that I took the opportunity whenever I could. The following teaching and instructing experience have been during my PhD and the current position (2013-present), mainly in Polymer Chemistry and Laboratory Techniques (Mechanical/Chemical Characterization Methods). Here is a short video of a training programme in the BFH: https://www.bfh.ch/ahb/en/continuing-education/cas/wood-based-panels/
