  • Fernando Ortiz is a structural engineer with a broad professional experience in the design of structures. He studied in Spain, USA and Italy and worked between 2002 and 2016 in engineering offices in Germany, China and Switzerland. Concurrent to his professorship at the Bern University in the field of computer aided structural design and analysis he is part-time senior scientific staff at the ETH Zürich. He visits China yearly on academic appointments.
