  • Fortepianist and musicologist Leonardo Miucci was born in Milan in 1982. As both a performer and researcher, he specializes in historically informed performance practice for keyboard instruments of the 17th, 18th and early 19th centuries. During last decade, he has focused primarily on Beethoven: after completing his PhD at Bern University he embarked a Post-doc at the Beethoven-Haus Bonn and has published numerous several essays, articles, critical/Urtext editions and a monograph about keyboard performance practice in Beethoven’s works. He recently completed a world-premiere recording of the integral Beethoven Piano Quartets featuring historical instruments and improvised cadenzas.
