Data governance as a discipline involves the establishment and development of value creation from data as a management task in all areas and at all levels of your company. As this is a cross-departmental activity, it also involves the development of the HR, organisational, technical and cultural prerequisites for the use of data, while at the same time ensuring that the legal and ethical framework is observed.
In this specialist course, executives will be able to comprehensively expand their skills in this field. This will be achieved by using practical examples and a consideration of the underlying concepts for the implementation of data governance in your own company.
You are a member of the management or board of directors or work in another managerial post - for example, that of Chief Data Officer or data steward - and are responsible for the use of data in your company or in one of its departments/subdivisions. You wish to make data governance part of the managerial responsibilities in your company. You will acquire the relevant conceptual and practical knowledge in data governance on three objective-orientated course days.
On the specialist data governance course, we will be dealing with the following aspects:
The conceptual basis and objectives of data governance ("data value creation")
The legal and ethical-moral framework
How data governance works in the context of practical case studies
Systematic description of the tasks, skills, roles and responsibilities relating to data governance
Options for the introduction or further development of data governance in your company
