  • Mariam Mazmanyan is a social worker and researcher from Armenia. She has over 5 years of practice experience in social work in the child protection field and is actively involved in the process of policy development and empowerment of social workers in Armenia. Ms Mazmanyan’s field of expertise includes Social work in the education system; child protection system in Armenia; Social protection policies in developing countries; social work with displaced families, supervision and empowerment in Social work practice. Ms Mazmanyan holds a Master’s degree in social work and currently at BFH she works on her one-year postgraduate research project under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Emanuela Chiapparini on the topic: “The peculiarities of school social workers practice on the framework of inclusive education in Canton Bern (Switzerland)”.
    She authored and co-authored professional literature for social workers in child protection, community work, supervision and social protection fields and was involved in various research and continues education programs financed by international donor organizations.
