Situation

i) Establishing open-path plume measurements and bLS source emission calculation for the determination of methane emissions from agricultural biogas plants, ii) efficiency control of emission mitigation measures

Course of action

Methane emissions from 3 agricultural biogas plants will be measured over one year using open-path plume measurements and bLS source emission calculation. The performance of the method will be evaluated and improved. At one site, the effect of emission mitigation measures will be evaluated. Emission factors for reporting methane emissions within the Swiss greenhouse gas inventory will be proposed.
