Situation

Foster Phase II (Fostering Resilient Agrifood Systems and Livelihoods in Myanmar), implemented by HEKS/EPER, is a four-year project strengthening the livelihoods and economic resilience of smallholder farmers, MSMEs and crisis-affected populations in Myanmar. Building on the achievements of Phase I, which reached over 25,000 people directly and demonstrated viable models for improving agricultural productivity, incomes and food security, the project represents a strategic shift from piloting inclusive business models towards systemic change pathways that further enable scale and sustainability. BFH-HAFL conducted an Ex-Ante Economic and Financial Analysis of phase II of this project.

This project contributes to the following SDGs

  • 2: Zero hunger
  • 8: Decent work and economic growth
