International teaching staff exchange
From Switzerland to Spain and vice versa : A report on teaching staff exchange between Bern University of Applied Sciences and the University of Vic (Spain ) Faculty of Business and Communication.
The first ERASMUS teaching staff exchange between the Business Division of the Berne University of Applied Sciences and the University of Vic (Spain) took place between 31st May – 3rd June 2010.
Debra Ali-Lawson, lecturer for International Management, was invited to lecture on Sub-Saharan Culture and its influence on business dealing and management to students within the International Business Course at the Faculty of Business and Communication. The students themselves came from more than 10 countries including China and North America. Additional meetings and informal discussions helped provide insight into the experience both institutions have made and are making with the implementation of the Bologna Bachelor and Master programmes as well as the challenges both institutions are addressing in the area of internationalization.
Such exchanges and face to face discussions are vital to bring partnerships to life. The Business Division hopes to be able to welcome a member of the UVic Faculty of Business and Communication to the International Days (11 – 13 October 2010) hosted by the Business Division and so reciprocate the University of Vic’s hospitality and commitment to our cooperation.
