Mechatronics and Systems Engineering (Medical technology | Robotics)

As an engineer with a broad range of interdisciplinary skills, you combine computer science, electronics and mechanics at the interface of technology, medicine and robotics and thus play a central role as a link between the individual disciplines. Your in-depth knowledge forms an excellent basis (basic requirement) for innovation and creativity in industry and society. You will acquire the holistic competences to design, develop and apply intelligent and high-precision systems in a broad and cross-disciplinary manner.

This interdisciplinary and extensive programme – with specialisations in robotics and medical technology and a wide range of options for individual focus areas – enables you to gain a vast array of skills in the fields of mechanical design, electronics, informatics, sensor technology, drive technology, control technology, product development, microtechnology, medical technology, robotics, optics/photonics, rehabilitation technology, bionics, prosthetics, mechatronics and system technology.

In this programme, you will

  • Combine mechatronics and system technology at the fascinating interfaces of technology, medicine and robotics

  • Learn how to combine elements of electronics, informatics and mechanics to create high-precision intelligent and high-precision systems and innovative products
