Contexte initial

In order to simulate realistic physiologic conditions for tissue engineering, a novel physiologic robot reactor system was developed which is capable of mimicking the complex mechanical stimulation pattern as found in joints as well as the hypoxic atmosphere prevailing there. The system allows systematic and automatic screening of promising cell-scaffold material combinations in the formation of cartilage tissue for up to 20 samples with individual stimulation patterns.
