Situation
Transformative processes in urban development often involve more intensive use of space, which can affect the quality of life. The soundscape plays a crucial role in such developments. The aim of this project is an audiovisual simulation: What does it sound like where and under what conditions? And how could the acoustic quality be improved?
Course of action
How do transformations in interior construction affect the acoustic quality of an environment? We aim to build a digital prototype that will provide architecture and urban planning with a new tool to fundamentally expand the current focus on sound as noise emission. The prototype will relate to a specific regional area, but the aim is for it to be transferable as a model in the medium term, thereby contributing to a sustainable solution to acoustic problems in densely populated areas.
