Situation
United Purpose, in partnership with the HAFL Hugo P. Cecchini Institute, aims to expand women-led social agri-enterprises in Bangladesh through a workshop funded by the Leading House South Asia and Iran “Workshops & Symposia 2024” scheme. The project leverages United Purpose's extensive experience and HAFL's expertise to promote inclusivity and sustainability.
Approche
The workshop's primary goal is to develop scalable, innovative, and inclusive business development strategies for women-run social agri-enterprises. Key outcomes include understanding challenges, designing innovative approaches, creating actionable strategies, and enhancing stakeholder collaboration. Specific outputs are knowledge exchange, identifying challenges and opportunities, tailored business strategies, an actionable roadmap, capacity building, and disseminating best practices. The Women’s Business Centre project, based on the successful Local Service Provider model, will serve as a foundation. The workshop will use participatory methods to stimulate collaboration and generate actionable ideas, focusing on empowering women entrepreneurs and integrating their businesses into the formal economy.
