Stakeholders in the mango sector stabilize and increase their income and benefits in an equitable way through enhanced and more profitable mango production.

Situation
Specific objectives (outcomes) SO1: The mango production of smallholder is increased thanks to the wide adoption of available, accessible, innovative and inclusive co-developed mango fruit-fly IPM. SO2: The mango inter-profession, political decision-makers and donors support the wider dissemination of IPM technologies and the development of mango value chains through improved collaboration, a climate of trust between stakeholders and a better economic and regulatory environment.
Résultat
Results (outputs) Results for SO1: R1.1. Fruit fly control technics are developed and homologated through a model of co-production of knowledge, co-development of solutions and joint testing. R1.2. Most promising IPM options are disseminated (trainings, Farmer Field School, videos, publications, …) and adopted by producers. Results for SO2: R2.1. Clusters are set up to facilitate business dialogue and contractual arrangements within the mango sector. R2.2. Local capacities are being developed to ensure that the approaches of co-creation of knowledge and social business models are integrated in the research- extension system and the mango value-chain development.
