This lecture examines the role of screening in relation to diagnostic imaging and its relevance for physiotherapy practice. While ordering imaging often dominates the discussion, the impact of imaging extends much further, influencing assessment and treatment choices, prognosis, and patient education. As direct access models expand, physiotherapists take on greater responsibility in determining appropriate imaging. Adequate training is therefore essential to prevent misuse and to support responsible clinical decision-making.
