Ausgangslage
GASL is made up of representatives from governments, the private sector, academia, non-governmental organisations, social movements and local and intergovernmental organisations. GASL provides a platform to bring together the various stakeholders in the livestock sector and to promote political dialogue, the exchange of knowledge and experience and joint action for a sustainable livestock sector.
Vorgehen
The findings from this work in turn feed into the FAO's global processes on sustainable livestock farming. The diversity of its members, who are rooted globally, regionally and locally, enables GASL to comprehensively address the diverse challenges for the sustainable development of the livestock sector.
