28.10.2025 Katja Pott recently started as a PhD student at the Institute for Digital Technology Management. Her research focuses on how AI systems can be designed to be personalized and supportive of learning. She shares more about her work in the profile.

What appeals to me about my new position?

The opportunity to take on new challenges and explore engaging topics at the intersection of artificial intelligence and user-centered design. I am excited to critically examine, investigate, and evaluate emerging concepts and technologies in this rapidly evolving field.

These are my research topics and interests:

My research focuses on user-centered system design, with a particular emphasis on generative artificial intelligence and its potential to personalize and enhance user experiences. I am especially interested in how AI can adapt to individual needs and preferences to create more meaningful interactions between humans and technology.

What I want to achieve at BFH Business School:

I aim to deepen my expertise in AI-driven systems and expand my research competencies in the field of personalized learning. My goal is to explore new possibilities for leveraging current AI technologies to tailor and improve learning experiences.

What makes me laugh?

I find joy in the small, everyday moments and enjoy sharing laughter with friends over stories, jokes, and lighthearted incidents from daily life.

What sustainability means to me:

Information technology has great potential to contribute to social sustainability, for example by fostering inclusion and equity, developing transparent and ethical systems, and designing technology that genuinely benefits people and society.
