The «Deep Dive India» study week in Delhi provides a practical understanding of India as a sales market and procurement hub. Participants attend events at the MDI – Management Development Institute (AACSB-accredited) and visit Swiss and Indian companies.

Furthermore, you will learn about «key points of contact» for your market entry, such as the Swiss Business Hub India and Swissnex. In workshops, you will work with Indian and Swiss professionals and gain in-depth insights into business culture and market access.

Get to know the Indian market:

  • You will classify India as a growth market and procurement hub.
  • You will identify suitable partners for sustainable networks.
  • You will learn how to plan and manage projects with Indian partners effectively – from coordination and milestones to negotiation and escalation practices.
  • You will learn about the key intercultural differences between Switzerland and India. From this, you will derive specific rules for communication, leadership and cooperation.

The Deep Dive India – Doing Business in India programme is a one-week study trip to the Management Development Institute (MDI) Gurgaon, Delhi, one of India's most prestigious business schools. The aim is to provide practical knowledge about India's dynamic economic and market environment.

Participants gain insights into:

  • India's role as a sales and procurement market,
  • the strategic and cultural differences in marketing and management,
  • opportunities for cooperation in various economic sectors,
  • support services offered by partners such as Swiss Business Hub India, Swissnex and the Swiss-Indian Chamber of Commerce,
  • sustainability practices in an international context.

The programme combines academic input, company visits and cultural excursions (Delhi and Agra). The supporting programme includes yoga sessions, team building, networking with Indian students and events such as welcome and farewell dinners.

With or without ECTS credits?

Would you like to continue your education without acquiring ECTS credits? Then simply take part in the SAS without providing proof of competence. In order to earn ECTS credits, you must provide a successful proof of competence.

The proof of competence will be defined shortly.

Requirements + Admission

Anyone interested in the subject is welcome to participate in the study trip. There are no admission requirements. If you earn ECTS credits, they may be recognised towards an EMBA or MAS (upon request).
