  • David Risi is a Professor of Responsible Management at the Bern University of Applied Sciences (Business) and a Senior Research Fellow at the University of St. Gallen.

    David closely collaborates with industry partners. For several years, he worked for a strategy consulting firm. David regularly takes on advisory mandates. For example, he serves as a member of the Judging Panel for the ESG Investing Awards 2022.

    David has taught business administration, business ethics, organization theory, research methods, strategic management, and sustainability management in bachelor and (executive) master programs at universities in Switzerland and abroad.

    His research has appeared in numerous practice-oriented articles, book chapters, and academic journals. He is the author of “Corporate Social Responsibility (Elements in Business Strategy),” published by Cambridge University Press, and a member of the Editorial Review Board of the Journal of Management Studies, included in the Financial Times Top 50 journals list. His scholarly work has received various awards, including the 2017 Academy of Management Social Issues in Management Best Dissertation Award. David is the principal investigator in two major research projects (i.a., supported by the Swiss National Science Foundation).
