Claudia Meier appointed new General Secretary of Bern University of Applied Sciences (BFH)

13.07.2021 Bern University of Applied Sciences (BFH) has elected Claudia Meier as its new General Secretary. The 43-year-old economist has a broad range of experience in the areas of administration, associations and the private sector. She will take up her role on 1 January 2022.

Claudia Meier has been Director of Staff in the Canton of Bern’s Office of Economic Affairs since 2017. She previously held various expert and leadership posts in the Canton of Bern’s finance department, at BKW AG and at the Verband für Medizintechnik (Association of Medical Technology).

She will be taking over the role as BFH’s new General Secretary from Isabelle Delaloye Hösli, who will be leaving her post at the end of 2021 and continuing in a part-time capacity (50% FTE) for the university’s General Secretariat.
