Assessment Authority for Rockfall Protection Nets
The Federal Office for the Environment (FOEN) has commissioned us with the specialist testing of new products developed by manufacturers in the field of rockfall protection nets and their foundations.
We test the products based on the requirements of the FOEN. These are summarised in the document “Quality assessment principles for rockfall protection nets and their foundations”, which is based on international standards that are described in detail.
We are also tasked with the development of a database of product descriptions.
The Assessment Authority for Rockfall Protection Nets will operate on behalf of the FOEN’s Expert Commission for Avalanches and Rockfall (EKLS).
