Research

  • My research interests lie in the analysis, history and aesthetics of twentieth-century musical modernism, musical realism, Swiss symphonies, and dodecaphony and its aftermath. An article on postwar Swiss symphonies will be published by Routledge in 2027.

  • My doctoral research, on the Zurich composer Robert Blum (1900-94), is funded by Bern Academy of the Arts, co-supervised by Dr Chris Walton (HKB/FHNW Basel), Professor Nicolas Donin (UniGe) and Dr Ben Earle (UoB).
