Equality in the workplace A snapshot

On 1 July 2026, the Swiss Equality Act will celebrate its 30th anniversary. We are using this milestone as an opportunity to take stock: where does equality in the workplace stand today – and where do gaps still remain?

Together, we will watch the film *Equality – A Snapshot* (directed by Romana Lanfranconi, produced by Lucia Lanfranconi, 2016). Afterwards, experts from academia, the professional sector and trade unions will discuss equality in the workplace. We will conclude the event with a drinks reception.

The event will be held in two languages (German/French). Attendance is free of charge. Please register in advance as places are limited. 

The event is organised jointly by the Bern University of Applied Sciences (BFH), the Swiss Institute for Feminist Jurisprudence and Gender Law (FRI) and the Swiss Trade Union Federation (SGB). The film is part of gleichstellen.ch, a project promoting discussion on gender equality in working life.
