Successful Cooperation with the Israeli HealthTech Ecosystem

23.05.2023 Driving the digitalisation of the healthcare industry together: The students of our Master Digital Business Administration worked with HealthTech start-ups in Israel on new market access solutions, presenting them to the HealthTech leaders and the Swiss Ambassador in Tel Aviv.

Since the Covid-19 pandemic, the topic of «health» has become an integral part of public discourse. How can the health sector offer high-quality services that are affordable and easily accessible? This is the question our students dealt with in the current semester.

As part of Live Cases - a central component of our Master's programme - they worked with eight diverse Israeli HealthTech start-ups through the partnership with «8400 The Health Network» in Israel. The HealthTech industry is very large in Israel, and they are a global leader in innovations around healthcare. After much digital exchange in the last months, the time had come in mid-May: our students traveled to Tel Aviv to meet the start-up partners in person.

This exchange was coordinated by the Swiss Science and Innovation Office in Israel, which maintains a global network for education, research and innovation and supports companies and institutions in networking and exchanging knowledge and ideas. In partnership with 8400 The Health Network, that facilitated the selection and connection to the start-ups, the Swiss Science and Innovation Office organised a networking event that included a keynote speaker (Dan Shwarzman from Mindup), a student - start-up panel discussion and an aperitif for the students and the start-up representatives in the presence of the Swiss Ambassador H. E. Urs Bucher.

For our students and lecturers, the week offered exciting and unforgettable insights into the start-up ecosystem in Israel and the work of the Swiss representation.
