Partner network

The Institute for Digital Technology Management is a platform for holistic and responsible digital transformation. Our experts help guide the digitisation of industry and society, organisations and individuals. Their aim is to see digital technologies become value-added, responsibly implemented goods.

Services for our partners

We provide our partners with individualised, personal support.

Exchange and networking

Our network offers partners a valuable platform for knowledge transfer, personal exchange and networking – especially at events and conferences. Regardless of the partnership type, representatives enjoy the opportunity to interface with staff at the Institute for Digital Technology Management and other institutes and departments at Bern University of Applied Sciences.

Our institute is directly involved in organising the following events and conferences:

Further events can be found in our regularly updated events calendar.

Our partners are invited to participate in these events and conferences at a greatly reduced rate or no charge.

Individualised services

We offer partners a range of personalised services such as:

  • Access to case studies performed by researchers at the institute
  • «Live cases» in which student groups work on real-world tasks brought by partners, create prototypes and concepts and present their solutions

Wherever possible, we offer our partners preferential conditions in accessing our services and collaborative projects. We also take existing partners’ interests into account when establishing new corporate partnerships.

Outreach

Our social media outlets (e.g. LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok) can be used to promote joint campaigns, projects or activities.

Reports and interviews will be released on the Bern University of Applied Sciences website and in publications like «SocietyByte», the BFH digital science journal and «BEBusiness», the Business School newsletter. Content is created collaboratively between our institute, partners’ communications teams and the Business School.

Knowledge transfer and publicity

Intangible services our institute provides include:

  • Prominent partner logo placement and naming in all event-related publications
  • Right to use the BFH logo and reference our partnership on your own website
  • Right to repost/reuse such media assets as texts, photos, videos and audio (author crediting determined on a case-by-case basis)

Student projects

Our partners have the opportunity to submit topics for student projects and to supervise semester projects or bachelor’s and master’s theses in business administration and business information technology.

Our partners may participate in student projects free of charge.

Visibility among students

At the Business School’s annual Career Day, companies are invited to set up information booths and talk to students about potential job opportunities. Lectures and other presentations are held over the course of the day.

BFH Career Services host other events to bring students and company representatives together, like brown bag lunches, specialist lectures or panel discussions.

Participation in Career Day and similar events is free of charge for our partners.

Recruiting possibilities

We support our partners in their search for qualified entry-level candidates, specialists and university graduates. We also post internships and job openings on BFH Studentjobs, the employment portal for BFH students and graduates.

Our partners may publish listings on BFH Studentjobs for free.

Sounding Board

The Sounding Board at the Institute for Digital Technology Management is a group of individuals chosen for their particular experience, network or exemplary sense of responsibility. The team regularly advises our institute on its strategic direction and in turn benefits from the close exchange with researchers and lecturers.

Representatives of institutional partners – whether these partnerships are based in practice, research and implementation or networks – receive preferential consideration for nomination to the Sounding Board.
