Situation
OECD estimates show that about 20% of healthcare spending is wasteful or even harmful. Patients often receive services with questionable medical benefits.
Course of action
As part of a large-scale literature search and guideline evaluation, we identify a catalog of services and treatments that are questionable from a medical point of view (low-value care). Based on this, we quantify the extent of overuse in the amublant area in Switzerland.
