Fine Arts

The programme acknowledges the variety of artistic possibilities and the diverse social contexts for art and allows students to create their own individual study profile.

This degree programme:

  • teaches you to understand artistic processes and to develop skills and approaches for your own practice;

  • aims to ensure that your artistic activities show independence, imagination and technical ability in the chosen media;

  • enables you to research and analyse your subject matter independently and present it in an appropriate way;

  • equips you with a fundamental knowledge of art theory, art criticism and cultural criticism; 

  • familiarises you with other forms of artistic expression, so that you can reflect on your own work and that of others in a broader context; 

  • helps you find your place in the art world and teaches you how the art world works;

  • enables you to participate in a transdisciplinary artistic environment and work on interdisciplinary projects.
