Mobility + Exchanges
The Bern University of Applied Sciences BFH sees itself as a locally engaged university with a distinctive, carefully nurtured international network. It supports all its members (students, teachers, researchers, and administrative staff) in the acquisition and development of those competences that are required in an increasingly globalised educational and working environment.
BFH promotes participation in various exchange programmes (e.g. ERASMUS) and supports its students in their search for traineeships at home and abroad. In the postgraduate area (master’s and further education programmes), the range of courses offered has an increasingly international flavour.
Incoming – students from abroad are very welcome
BFH receives and supports foreign students both as regards their studies and in terms of providing traineeships. We are increasingly interested in finding places for talented young researchers from partner institutions at home and abroad, who can carry out the initial practical work for their theses in our research departments.
Outgoing – BFH students abroad
The ERASMUS mobility programme links European higher education institutions and universities. Within these and other exchange programmes, BFH students can undertake a part of their courses in one of the numerous partner institutions in Europe or other countries. In addition, students can gain much useful experience in traineeships abroad. It is advisable to plan an exchange semester or traineeship abroad well in advance.
