Art Education

The Master’s degree programme in Art Education allows you to develop your teaching and artistic skills.

You have the option to choose one of two specialisations: Art and cultural mediation, or the teaching qualification for secondary level II. With the former, you will focus on the broad field of art and cultural mediation. The latter allows you to obtain a teaching diploma which qualifies you to teach art and design at a high school baccalaureate level. You will study full-time in Bern. Part-time study is also possible.

‘We see bringing people together as an artistic endeavour.’ – Matthias Egger and Anna Lena Marcus report from their day-to-day project work as part of their studies.

Begin your studies in Autumn 2026.
