CV

  • Nada Endrissat holds a Master degree in Organizational Psychology from the Free University of Berlin and a PhD in Management from the University of Basel in Switzerland. She is currently working as Research Professor at Bern University of Applied Sciences and has held visiting positions at Université du Québec à Montréal, Canada (2017), the University of California, Irvine (2016) and Macquarie Graduate School of Management, Sydney (2008). Prior to her academic career she has worked for international corporations and consultancies including Volkswagen, DaimlerChrysler, Dresdner Bank and Roland Berger Strategy Consultants.

Dr. Endrissat’s current research is funded by two research grants from the Swiss National Science Foundation. The first project has focused on the role of materiality in organizing creative work and aesthetic practices in artistic perfumery (https://scentculture.institute). The second project explores processes of sensemaking among producers and consumers in perfumery, providing ample opportunity to connect research on work with research on consumption. In addition, Dr. Endrissat has a strong interest in understanding identity work, particularly among cultural workers and artists in post-industrial cultural economies. She has explored the relationship between branding and employees’ identities and lifestyles and is currently looking at aesthetic practices of branding and the growing prevalence of artists as service workers as well as the use of social media (Twitter, Instagram) for organizing creative work and constructing images of the creative self.

Her research has been published in high-ranked academic journals such as Human Relations and Organization Studies.
