Institute for Human Centered Engineering – Laboratory for Sensor Technology and Applied Mathematics

The main research areas of our Laboratory for sensor technology and applied mathematics (HuCE-scienceLab) are: Sensors, controls, image processing, numerics. Using mathematical models and numerical simulations, we study and analyze the behavior of complex systems.

Our Laboratory

Our laboratory develops sensor systems for various fields of application, particularly for sports and medical technology. We design system architectures for control applications, ARM based microcontroller systems and CANopen applications. We also develop mathematical models for mechanical, electrical and optical applications. Data is processed, analyzed, displayed and evaluated with statistical methods.

Services

Our laboratory offers research and development projects for the industry:

  • Consulting regarding sensors, sensor systems, controllers, microcontrollers and CANopen
  • Design and realisation of sensors and sensor systems
  • Development of control systems, microcontrollers and CANopen
  • Development, processing and analysis of mathematical models
  • Mathematical simulation of electrical, mechanical and optical systems and data analysis
