Biography
- Gernot Pruschak is Professor for Applied Data Science at the Institute Applied Data Science & Finance at the Business School of the Bern University of Applied Sciences. Gernot gained his doctoral gfinished his doctoral studis in economics and social sciences at the RWTH Aachen University in February 2021. Preceding this, he studied Business Administration at the University of Vienna.
Gernot has worked in academia since 2014, first as a student assistant and tutor while being in his Bachelor and Master studies and then as a doctoral candidate at the RWTH Aachen University and scientific staff at the University of Vienna. Since 2021 he has continuously worked at the Bern University of Applied Sciences.
Gernot's research activities focus on the intersection of open innovation, leadership and higher education management. He is also a strong proponent for integer and ethical research and open science. His teaching mainly comprises scientific methods as well as business and data analytics.
