Career Services BFH: All about your career start!

06.05.2020 On the redesigned BFH Career Services website www.bfh.ch/career-services-en students as well as young alumni can find information on issues relating to starting a career after graduation. For interested enterprises on the lookout for qualified emerging talent the career services provide a platform for networking.

Advice on application and salary

Comprehensive advice on applications, job interviews and salary expectations helps BFH students and graduates with the launch of their careers as well as with their personal career development. All BFH departments provide services for career launches that are specifically geared to the requirements of the respective fields of study and disciplines as well as those of the relevant branches of business and industry. Depending on the Department, Career Days, company visits and workshops about job interviews or application documents are offered. You can find all the necessary contacts and links on this website: www.bfh.ch/career-services-en.

Career Days as a meeting point for employers and students

Networking events help facilitate a career start: The Department of Engineering and Information Technology for example, organises a Career Day with around 70 enterprises in Biel every year. Both BFH-HAFL in Zollikofen and the Department of Business organise a networking event for students and employers every year. Owing to the current situation some events have had to be postponed or will take place next year. You can find the new dates at www.bfh.ch/career-services-en.

Mentoring Programmes

Bern University of Applied Sciences promotes the setting up of mentoring programmes in co-operation with the Alumni BFH umbrella association. In these programmes, students are supported in the transition period from university to work by former students. One such mentoring programme has already been successfully set up in co-operation with the Department of Social Work. More on the subject of mentoring: Mentoring Programme
