You can use the portal to find suitable positions, participate in our career events or seek advice and mentoring opportunities. Furthermore, our links offer you specialist information on each school, the alumni network and myAbility, the programme for students with disabilities or chronic illnesses.

Looking for a part-time job, an internship or a first job after graduation? Studentjobs is BFH’s employment portal for students. You will find current vacancies from companies that specifically target students and graduates. For this, you can use filter functions for specialist area, level of employment or location and sign up to our email job alerts. The portal is available free of charge to all BFH students and graduates.

CareerBooster events

The CareerBooster events help you build up career-relevant skills that are practice-oriented, free of charge and tailored to your everyday study life.

The CareerBooster Events help you build up targeted, career-relevant skills. These include time management, job application training and stress management. The workshops take place online or on site in the early evening. Free of charge, they are conducted by experienced career coaches. You will find all relevant information in the BFH Campus app.

Mentoring programme

In collaboration with the association Alumni  BFH Social Work , the School of Social Work offers a one-year mentoring programme designed to support students in the transition from studies to work. Participants benefit from the professional experience and networks of former graduates.

Programme structure

  • Duration: 12 months, with at least 6 face-to-face meetings
  • Framework: kick-off event, mid-term meeting and joint closing event
  • Content: the topics are chosen individually, e.g. exchange of experience, career planning or insights into a vocational field.
  • Mentors: mentor and mentoree are matched based on the latter’s interests and goals.

Alumni BFH: network, mentoring & job portal for your career start

The umbrella organisation Alumni BFH connects graduates and promotes mentoring programmes. Its job portal offers concrete support for the start of your career and a salary overview.

The umbrella organisation Alumni BFH brings together all graduates of BFH’s bachelor’s, master’s or continuing education programmes. Membership is free of charge. More than 10 specialist alumni organisations collaborate to form a multidisciplinary network that fosters interdisciplinary exchange. If you are seeking networking opportunities and wish to benefit in the long term from the expertise of our former students, this is the right place.

Mentoring, job portal and salary overview

To support your career entry, the BFH Alumni umbrella organisation collaborates with the university of applied sciences to develop mentoring programmes. The portal ‘Alumni Jobs’ connects graduates with employment opportunities. In addition, the FH-Lohnstudie, a salary study for UAS graduates, offers transparent insights into the going salaries in different sectors – a valuable tool to help you plan your career.

Personal advice on studies and career

The Counselling Centre Universities of Bern provides students and employees free, confidential support with career-related issues. Overview of the topics:

Career and development workshops

In addition to one-to-one advice, the Counselling Centre offers workshops every semester, e.g. on career launch, application dossiers or key skills for your studies. The goal is to empower students in their personal and professional growth. In addition, the website offers a variety of self-coaching tools and additional resources.

myAbility – for an inclusive career start

The myAbility Talent Programme is aimed at students with disabilities or chronic illnesses. It provides individual practical support for your career start, free of charge. The offer includes:
