Science has rediscovered this tradition, researched it and made it accessible. It is proven that a regular mindfulness practice regulates blood pressure, reduces the risk of burn-out and makes you calm in dealing with challenges. The course comprises:
short specialist presentations with a range of practical exercises and "how to" lessons
how to integrate mindfulness into your daily management routine
Mindfulness may make you more relaxed, but it is not a relaxation technique. Relaxation is a desirable side-effect of a changed state of mind. You will be systematically trained in mindfulness techniques using traditional and modern exercises, with the emphasis on integrating these into your routine. Experience shows that this is the greatest challenge, but also the decisive factor if sustained effectiveness is to be achieved.
What you will be capable of after completing this specialist course:
Leadership: you will be able to deal more attentively with employees, superiors and colleagues, react with more composure to challenges and thus lead more effectively.
Burnout prevention: you will be able to pay more attention to yourself and better process professional challenges, therefore improving your satisfaction with life and work.
Sustainability: you will be able to maintain and develop your own use of mindfulness.
All participants will receive a confirmation of participation. Participants who meet the admission requirements for studying at a university of applied sciences and who successfully complete the proof of competence will be awarded 3 ECTS credits. These will be shown on the course confirmation certificate.

You do not need to meet any specific admission requirements to participate in this specialist course. If you wish to obtain ECTS credits, the general conditions for continuing education will apply: you will require a university degree or equivalent qualification and at least two years' professional experience. If you have any questions, please contact the study administration or the course coordinator.
Individuals who do not meet this requirement can participate in this course but will not be awarded ECTS credits. Important for admission is the willingness to do the exercises at least twice a day for 10 minutes during the course. Individual expectations and suitability will be assessed in a preliminary interview.
Organisation + Registration
The course comprises of 6 course evenings. These will be held on Tuesdays from 17.30 to 19.30. There is no specified number of participants.
