Research topics

The Institute for Public Sector Transformation (IPST) regularly publishes its ‘Public Sector Perspectives’ report. The report provides an overview of all topics currently being researched at the IPST.

The report summarises the institute's experiences in condensed form: in numerous articles, the institute's staff outline their current state of knowledge and their recommendations for action in the public sector. Based on concrete findings from current research projects, future developments and recommendations are outlined. The institute thus aims to highlight perspectives on where the journey is headed and what needs to be considered along the way.

Six different thematic clusters

The brochure is divided into six main thematic clusters:

  • Sustainability & Society
  • Public Procurement
  • Smart Government
  • Data
  • Public Sector IT
  • Artificial Intelligence

The practical aspect: at the end of each article, the Institute's recommendations are summarised concisely. This provides authorities and companies with input from practice-oriented research on how specific measures can be approached and implemented.

You will be surprised by the range of topics covered – we hope you find it a transformative read!
