  • CAS Business Administration or CAS Business Administration Advanced

* Leadership experience, a current management position and at least ten days of training or further training in leadership to attend the CAS Leadership Advanced

This self-contained continuing education in management leads to a diploma at university level. The DAS Digital Leadership is allowable to the EMBA in Leadership and Management.

Training objective

You will acquire basic business management knowledge and deepen existing specialist and methodological skills. Also, you will develop your social and leadership skills, analyse your own leadership behaviour and reflect on current, future-oriented issues in class.

You will write a DAS diploma thesis on a topic from the two CAS. In this way you show that you can find a competent solution to a complex topic using scientific methods.

At the Bern University of Applied Sciences, Business School, you combine two CAS and a DAS thesis into one DAS. The CAS Leadership or the CAS Leadership Advanced is a compulsory module of every DAS. You will attend the CAS Business Studies Advanced if you already have a degree in Business Administration or Business Information Technology.

For the DAS Diploma Thesis, you will select a suitable topic from one of the two CAS. The thesis comprises a maximum of 35 pages. You will also write a media article on the topic of the thesis. You will have eight weeks to complete the thesis and submit it on time. To register for the DAS thesis, please contact the DAS study organisation.

In an empathic and modern atmosphere, you can expect a wide variety of learning forms.

  • Lectures, teaching talks and exchange of experience

  • Simulations, group work

  • Company simulation, company visits

  • Study of best practice examples, case studies

  • E-Learning learning platform Teams

  • Individual coaching, development meetings, development centre

The examination forms in the CAS are modern and suitable for adults. Traditional written knowledge examinations are not usually used.
