Foot Biomechanics and Technology
We research a better understanding of foot biomechanics and the associated complaints, and evaluate and develop therapy options. We place a special focus on the use of current technologies in the therapy of the locomotor system and in orthopaedics technology.
The aim of our foot biomechanics and technology research is to apply the latest technological developments to transfer the objective assessment of movement biomechanics and neuromuscular control from the laboratory into the clinical routine, thus gaining further insights in physiotherapy.
We use the infrastructure of the Bern Movement Lab, the Bern Mobility Centre and the Bern Pain & Stress Lab for our research.
