The departmental management team comprises the director, the heads of the four departments and the Health Services division, the heads of research and teaching, representatives of the teaching staff, and representatives of the mid-level faculty, administration and services.
By training and educating professionals in the healthcare fields of nutrition and dietetics, midwifery, nursing and physiotherapy, we make a significant contribution to healthcare in Switzerland. We regularly adapt our curricula in line with new findings, practical requirements and international trends, thereby contributing to the development of these four indispensable professional groups in healthcare.
We take a holistic view of healthcare: we research and teach collaborative, interprofessional cooperation as well as health economics and health policy aspects. This gives us the relevant expertise to shape and develop healthcare as a whole.
Exchange with practitioners is institutionalised: we actively collaborate with major service providers in the canton of Bern in three academy-practice partnerships. We also maintain contact with the start-up scene, for example with Sitem Insel, and promote entrepreneurship through our Innovation Pulse Lab.
