CV

  • Andrea Hauri first studied social work, then sociology, psychology and philosophy, and in 2020 completed her doctorate at the University of Zurich on the perception of child protection proceedings before the KESB by adolescents and parents. She has been a lecturer and head of studies at the Bern University of Applied Sciences since 2010, specialising in child and adult protection, and has been co-head of continuing education and co-head of division of social intervention at the Department of Social Work since 2022. Previously, Andrea Hauri worked for several years as head of division for a Swiss Child Protection Foundation. Previously, she conducted investigations and led mandates in child and adult protection under civil law and on behalf of a juvenile court. She also worked in victim support, in emergency psychiatry and for a counselling centre for women and bi-national couples. Andrea Hauri was also a delegate for the International Committee of the Red Cross in Ethiopia.
