Registrations open: Cecchini Institute Annual Event 2026

11.03.2026 Registrations are now open for the 8 July for the 2026 Cecchini Institute Annual Event. Join us to discuss what constitutes decent work in rangeland food systems from canopy to kitchen. The Annual Event is free and open to all at the HAFL campus.

What is decent work? What does decent work look like for the nearly 2 billion people whose livelihoods are dependent on the health of rangeland ecosystems? How are the prospects of decent work shaped by challenges and opportunities across rangeland food systems, from canopy to kitchen.

The 7th Cecchini Institute Annual Event will examine these questions through in the context of the UN International Year of Rangelands and Pastoralists and the International year of the Woman Farmer.  We will examine decent work in this context through four pillars: safety at work, the application of human-centred technology, the acquisition of career skills and knowledge, and work equity.
